PlayStation Showcase 2021: Everything Announced


PlayStation had their games showcase yesterday after months of anticipation and they have delivered on it with some amazing new announcements and updates.


Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake

The Knights of the Old Republic is considered to be the best Star Wars game ever created and is still said to be the favorite of many gamers around the world. Sony announced that they are bringing the remake of this classic game to the PS5 and that as an Exclusive. The game is being developed by Aspyr along with some original team members behind the game.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Insomniac Games finally revealed the next Spider-Man with the name Spider-Man 2. The game will be arriving in 2023 exclusively to the PS5. The trailer started off showing Peter and Miles fighting off some goons and at the end, Insomniac Games also teased Venom to be a part of the game.


Marvel's Wolverine

Even though it was just a brief glimpse, Sony has announced that the developers behind Spider-Man and Ratchet and Clank will be working on Marvel's Wolverine for the PS5. The game is being directed by Brian Horton and Cameron Christian; the same ones behind Spider-Man Miles Morales.


Seeing Insomniacs past record I am fully confident that they will make an outstanding game tailored towards the Wolverine DNA.

Tiny Tina's Wonderland Gameplay

Tiny Tina's Wonderland got a gameplay reveal along with a release date of 25th March 2022. The trailer showed us the majestic town, fortresses, and so much more. The game will also allow for character customization giving the player the ability to create their own character.


Forspoken

Forspoken, previously known as Project Atia finally got a new trailer of the game's main character Frey and her journey to the world of Athia. The game is set to launch on the PS5 in Spring 2022.

God of War: Ragnarok

After teasing the game a while back, Sony finally revealed a brand new trailer for God of War: Ragnarok; Kratos, and Atreus's new adventure. Few Years have passed in the game from the 2018 God of War.


The trailer shows Atreus wants to explore what it means to be a Loki. Kratos does not want him to follow the path as he knows how it will end. The trailer also showed us glimpses of Freya attacking Kratos and Thor showing off his hammer.


Project Eve

PlayStation showcase also gave us a new trailer for Project Eve, displaying a ton of hack-and-slash gameplay action. The game takes place in the near future with the goal being winning earth back, we will be playing as Eve, the survivor of the paratrooper squad who will fight powerful enemies with her comrades.

Alan Wake Remastered

There were already rumors about an Alan Wake Remastered, but Sony confirmed it during the event along with a gameplay trailer.


Gran Turismo 7

Gran Turismo 7 release date has been announced for both PS5 as well as PS4 i.e., 22nd March 2022.


Ghostwire: Tokyo

I have kept my eyes on Ghostwire Tokyo since the day it was announced and this showcase Sony showed a new trailer of this supernatural thriller game.

The Masquerade - Bloodhunt

Bloodhunt now in early access on PC is making its way to the PS5. This free-to-paly, thrid person battle royale game contains vampires fighting each other. The game is set to arrive later this year.
